Anna Lauf

1930-2023

Anna Lauf, 93, of Pleasant Prairie passed away on Monday November 27, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Anna was born on January 21, 1930, in Germany, the daughter of the late David & Ottilie (Stark) Buchfink. She was educated in the schools of Germany and came to the United States in 1955. Anna married Herbert Lauf on March 24, 1956, in Kenosha. She was a homemaker for many years. Anna was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included cooking & baking, gardening, entertaining friends, attending dances and being involved with the local German clubs, but most of all spending time with her family & friends.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert Lauf of Pleasant Prairie; children, Heinz (Darlene) Lauf of Porterfield, WI, Sylvia (Michael) Hinz of Pleasant Prairie, Nelda (Don) Carlson of Alaska; sister, Matilda Gatzhammer of Germany; 5 grandchildren, Kyle (Nichole) Lauf, Michelle (Mike) Jurijczuk; Trent Carlson, Travis (Jessica) Carlson and Jennifer (Chris) Schulze; and 8 great grandchildren.  Anna was preceded in death by her brothers, Jakob & Oskar, and sister, Else Stefan.

A visitation will be held on Saturday December 2, 2023, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
