Arthur Tauri, 86, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on August 6, 2026, at Ascension All Saints Hospital.

Arthur was born on July 12, 1940, in Houghton, MI, the son of the late Jacob and Eva (Johnson) Tauri. He was educated in the schools of MI. Arthur worked for Twin Disc as a welder for many years. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, watching birds from his favorite recliner and cheering for the Detroit Lions but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Peggy (Mike Engel) Martin of Pleasant Prairie, Jeff Tauri of Kenosha; bonus daughter, Kristie Meyer of Racine; brother, Reuben Tauri of MI; longtime companion, Jane Siegel of Racine; also included are his 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way and 1 great-great-grandchild. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lucy and Laila and his grandson, David.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
