Barbara Smith

Barbara Smith, 81, of Kenosha passed away on August 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born on December 7, 1943, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Fred and Rosalie (Bone) Brown. She was educated in the schools of Chicago. Barbara worked for Kenosha Achievement Center for many years. She was a member of Blessing Center Church. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, listening to music, teaching Sunday school, ushering at her church, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Lottie Williams of Kenosha; sisters, Frieda Calerway, Yvonne Brown, Carol Mahammed, Denise (Bobby) Thomas all of Chicago; grandchildren, Kameera Williams and Tamir L. Williams; also included are her 4 great-grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Adolph & Levell and her sisters, Shirley, Emma & Louella.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
