Bert Kellmann

1962-2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bert Kellmann, 62, of Pleasant Prairie, WI. Bert passed away on January 4, 2025, at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie Hospital after a brave and courageous fight with cancer.

Bert was born on February 6, 1962, in Ontario, Canada, the oldest son of Hans and Ingrid (Harde) Kellmann. He attended elementary and secondary school in Ontario and pursued additional courses and certifications throughout his life in the fields of IT systems and technology. He ran his own technology business for many years and enjoyed a long career with Grainger as an Infrastructure Application Engineer.

Bert fell in love with and married Margaret Zapalski on February 25, 2024, in Kenosha. His hobbies were varied and included building Star Wars Lego kits, boating, creating pottery vases and pots, gardening, food, music, reading and traveling - but most of all he loved spending time with Margaret, his cat Binky, his friends and family.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Kellmann of Pleasant Prairie; mother, Ingrid Kellmann of Buffalo Grove, IL; brother, Dietz (Cathy) Kellmann of North Vancouver, British Columbia; sister, Karen (Kevin Peterson) Kellmann of Buffalo Grove, IL; he is also survived by many other family and friends. Bert was preceded in death by his father Hans Robert Kellmann and his first wife Ursula (Wojcik) Kellmann.

A memorial gathering will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on January 25, 2025, visitation will be from 11am to 1pm with memorial services to follow immediately at 1pm.
