Bobbie Cain
1944-2022
Bob Cain, 77, previously of Beulah, MI passed away at Grand Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Prairie, WI on Monday, February 7, 2022.
Bob was born in Carthage, NC to Leroy Cain (deceased) and Virginia (Horne) Boomer (deceased).
His great love was his family and home. Weekends were spent together camping and fishing. He was known to always find the "sweet spot" for fish wherever he was. He was happy to share this skill with both of his sons. Later in life he became a movie aficionado and spent time collecting his favorite movies.
Bob was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Constellation and the USS Pomfret, a diesel submarine. He also enjoyed a short time working in the pits at Vallejo Hard Top Racing in California while stationed at Mare Island.
His lifelong passion for cars led him to a career as an auto mechanic. Bob loved making an engine "Purr." It is rumored he owned over 200 hundred cars in his lifetime. Family had an ongoing joke that it would always be a surprise what type of car he would be coming home in.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Diane (Richardson) Cain and children Kimberly (Cain) Alcazar, Bobbie (Tara) Cain Jr., and Kenneth (Joanna) Cain; Grandchildren Alexandra Cain, Courtney Cain, Kyle Gibbons, Scott (Breann) Robinson, Cody Cain, Kyle Barringer, Briona (Travis) Drake, Zoey Cain, and Breanna Vanderplow. Step-mother Dorothy (Cox) Cain. Siblings James (Sherrie) Boomer, Kenneth (Deborah) Cain, Christine (Gary) Allen, Debbie (David) Strickland, Beverly (Mack) Johnson. Mother-in-law Alma Richardson. Brothers- in- law James (Toni) Richardson, Edward (Annmarie) Richardson. Sisters-in-law Carol Mroz, Marilyn (James) Parker. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and much-loved stepfather James B Boomer Sr, Aunt Rosa (Marcel) Giroux and sister-in-law Judith E Richardson.
A celebration of life will be held in Michigan at a later date.
