Dorothy Pinder

1945-2025

Dorothy Pinder, 80, of Illinois passed away on April 6, 2025.

Dorothy was born on March 27, 1945, in TN the daughter of the late Hellum "hamp" and Millie McDonald. She was educated in the schools of TN. Dorothy married James Pinder in June of 1978 in IL. She was self-employed working in sales for many years. Dorothy was a member of Second Baptist Church. Her hobbies included cooking, shopping, fishing, going on casino trips but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Tyshun (Melanie) Griffin of IL, Brandon Pinder of OK, Atlantis Pinder of IL, Kathy Pinder of Kenosha, Brittany Pinder of Las Vegas; niece, Anita Butler; also included are her 6 grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Eugene & Charles and her nephew, C. Dwayne McDonald.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
