Drew Carter Jr.

1950-2022

Drew Carter, 72, of Kenosha passed away on Thursday June 2, 2022 at Crossroads Care Center.

Drew was born on January 11, 1950 in Mississippi, the son of the late Drew & Dorothy (Carter) Carter Sr.  He was educated in the schools of Gary, IN.  Drew married Dorothy Phipps in 1997 in Kenosha, they later divorced.  Drew was employed for many years at the Steel Mill in Gary, IN also he worked for Fair Oaks Farm in Pleasant Prairie for 17 years.  His hobbies included fishing, cooking out, but most of all spending time with family & friends.

Survivors include his ex-wife, Dorothy Carter of Kenosha; children, Sharai Carter, Drew Carter III, Novodny Darnell Phipps, Quinton Levell Phipps, Gabbreil Joy Phipps, Mary Omega Phipps, Bryan Thompson; brother's Earl Carter, Ronald Hardiman; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.  Drew was preceded in death by his brother, Howard.

A visitation will be held on Thursday June 9, 2022 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 10:00AM-12:00PM, with funerals services to follow at 12:00PM.  Burial Green Ridge Cemetery.
