Elia G. Trejo

1948-2023

Elia Trejo, 74, of Pleasant Prairie passed away on March 20, 2023, at Grande Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family.

Elia was born on December 12, 1948, in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the daughter of the late Ignacia Gonzalez. She was educated in the schools of Mexico, and graduated from the Ebenezer Bible Institute, Waukegan, IL. In 2005 she helped to found the Oración y Fuego Church alongside her husband, the Reverend Evangelist Juan Trejo. In retirement she was a member of Iglesia La Hermosa. Elia loved to lead worship at church and her hobbies included going to yard sales, and cooking, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She served the Lord for over 57 years and her favorite verse was "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," Philippians 4:13.

Survivors include her husband, Reverend Evangelist Juan Trejo of Kenosha; children, Pastor Janie (Francisco) Flores of Miami, FL, Gumercindo "Trey" Trejo of San Antonio, TX, Daniel (Gina) Trejo of Tampa, FL, Josue (Isabel) Trejo of Kenosha, Neftali (Leigh Ann) Trejo of Houston, TX; brother, Alejandro Gonzalez of Mexico City and sister Rosa Gonzalez of Tampico, Mexico; also included are her 7 grandchildren, Juan, Vanessa, Daniela, Joshua, Olivia, Nicholas and Nathan, and 6 great-grandchildren. Elia was preceded in death by her mother and one sister.

A visitation will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on Wednesday March 29, 2023 from 5:00PM-7:00PM, and again on Thursday march 30, 2023 from 9:00AM-10:00AM, with funeral services to follow at 10:00AM. Burial St. George Cemetery.
