Elijah Evans Jr.

1949-2025

Elijah was born on August 21, 1949, in Friars Point, MS. The first born of Annie Mae Evan's who preceded him in death & Elijah Evans Sr. Elijah accepted Christ at an early age, he attended Shiny Star Baptist Church where he was baptized. Elijah graduated from Farragut High School in Chicago Il, then went to gain employment at sears. Elijah married Mary Ann Perkins in 1986; they resided on the west side of Chicago until 1991 where they relocated to Kenosha WI. Elijah worked at Lawter International for over 20 years. His hobbies included grilling out, fishing, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially with his grandchildren.

Elijah leaves to cherish his memories to his four children who he was an wonderful father to and two step children, Catrina Cable, Evangela Littleton, Erica Jackson, Yasmine Perkins, Eryc Perkins, Yolanda Kirby, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, many siblings, a host of aunt's, uncles, nieces, nephews, (best friend Tony) whom he has shared many great memories with.

A memorial gathering will be held at Second Baptist Church (3925 32nd Ave.,

Kenosha, WI 53144) on Saturday May 31, 2025, from 12:00PM-1:00PM. There will be a visitation with memorial services to follow immediately at 1:00PM.
