Frances
Lusignan
April 14, 1943 – November 17, 2020
Frances M. Lusignan
1943-2020
"Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
(Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!)"
Frances Lusignan, 77, of Kenosha passed away on November 17, 2020 at Aurora Zibler Family Hospice in Wauwautosa.
Frances was born on April 14, 1943 in Chicago, IL, daughter of the late Louis and Alice (Rudnik) Lusignan. She grew up in Chicago and graduated from Immaculata High School. Having once owned and operated her own pet shop and pet grooming business, called North Center Pet. Frances showed her special love for creatures of every kind (except spiders!). She later turned to healthcare, working in ordering at Evanston hospital, scheduling at St. Mary's in Racine, and as a secretary at Kenosha Visiting Nurses . Her hobbies included gardening, bird watching, pet loving, sudoku, and worrying, but most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family.
Survivors include her brother Louis (Mary) Lusignan, her sister Mary Clegg, nieces and nephews Denise (Mike) Sargent, Terri (Jeff) Bobek, Louis, (Lisa) Lusignan, and Joseph Lusignan, grandnieces and nephews Kimberly, (Xander), Amber (Justin) John, Megan, Jeff (Nicole), Brian, Faith, and Aiden, great grand nieces Lilly and Zoe, and many, many devoted cousins and friends. The memories of her regular phone calls, greeting cards, and $2.00 bills will last forever in our hearts as a reminder of this thoughtful angel.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents Louis W. and Alice (Rudnick) Lusignan.
A celebration of Fran's life will be held at a later date.
