George Matic

1956-2025

George Matic, 69, of Kenosha passed away on Thursday May 29, 2025, at the Hospice Alliance-Hospice House.

George was born on May 7, 1956, in Wisconsin.  He was educated in the schools of Kenosha.  George married Sonja Grundler on December 15, 1993, in Kenosha WI, and they shared many years together, until her passing.  He was employed as a welder for many years.  His hobbies included cheering for the Packers, watching NASCAR, hanging out with his friends at the Interlude, and displaying his 84 Corvette at Car Shows, he especially loved spending time with his cat, Ruffles.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Sonja, his parents, Radovan and Erika Matic, and half-sister Erica Schollmayer.

A celebration of life will be held at a late date at the Interlude.
