George J. Smith

1956-2024

George Smith, 68, of Kenosha passed away on December 24, 2024, at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie.

George was born on January 3, 1956, in Waukegan, IL, the son of the late George and Leonora (Mattis) Smith. He was educated in the schools of Antioch, IL. George was employed as an auto mechanic for Pedersen GMC Truck for many years. His hobbies included working on cars, hunting and fishing but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Smith of IL; sisters, Faye Howen of Kenosha, Frances (David) Wakefield of TN; nieces, Faith (Dean) Miller of Kenosha, Faye Tidwell of TN; he is also survived by many other friends and family. George was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
