1933-2026

Jack Morris, 93, of Salem passed away on August 20, 2026, at Hospice Alliance – Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.

Jack was born on August 15, 1933, in Aurora, IL, the son of the late Eugene and Grace (Salfisberg) Morris. He was educated in the schools of IL and Kenosha County, graduating from Wilmot High School. Jack met the love of his life Catherine Hansen while polka dancing. They married on October 26, 1957, in Racine. He worked for AMC/Chrysler for 30 years and owned a taxidermy supply business for 40 years. Jack was a member of the United States Army. In his early years, he farmed with his family in IL and WI, learning to drive a tractor at age 8. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, being outdoors, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and the Wisconsin Badgers, but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Morris of Salem; children, Lori Barber of Paddock Lake, Mark (Anita) Morris of Salem; grandchildren, Joshua (Christin) Barber, Steven Barber, Maggie Morris; step-grandson, Dennis Procnow; also included are his great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Dalton, Autumn, Anya and Ian. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joanne Wheeler and his son-in-law, Steve Barber Sr.

A memorial gathering will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on Saturday September 12, 2026, from 2:00PM-4:00PM with memorial services to follow immediately at 4:00PM.
