James W. Hemming “Hem”
1948-2026
James W. Hemming, 77, of Milwaukee passed away on March 31, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
James was born on June 21, 1948, in Bellevue, IL. Beloved Husband of 49 years, Best Friend and Only Love of Therese D. Hemming (nee Schwandt). He worked as a Lithographer for many years. His hobbies included Coaching and Refereeing Baseball and Football. He was a Tremendous Motorcycle Enthusiast, but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family. Especially with his Granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife, Therese (Teri) Hemming of Milwaukee; children, Scott J. Hemming of Milwaukee, Shannon (Husband Jim) Hemming-Flower of Burleson, TX, James (Wife Kathryn) Hemming of Wauwatosa, WI; Sister, Barbara Malady of Waukesha, WI; Brother, David Hemming of MI; Brother In Law, Brian D. Schwandt of Kenosha, WI; Proud Grandpa of Izabella J. Hemming and 5 other Grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his Parents Sheldon and Marilyn (Johnson) Hemming and his brother, Edward.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday May 6, 2026, at The Holy Family Chapel located in St. Adalberts Cemetery (3801 S. 6th St, Milwaukee, WI, 53221). Visitation will be from 11:30am until 1:00pm, followed by a Memorial Service and Private Internment immediately following the Service.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday May 6, 2026, at The Holy Family Chapel located in St. Adalberts Cemetery (3801 S. 6th St, Milwaukee, WI, 53221). Visitation will be from 11:30am until 1:00pm, followed by a Memorial Service and Private Internment immediately following the Service.
