John M. Schmidt

1951-2025

John Schmidt, 73, of Kenosha passed away on April 13, 2025, at Crossroads Care Center.

John was born on July 19, 1951, in Melrose Park, IL, the son of the late William and Julianna (Koshnick) Schmidt. He was educated in the schools of McHenry, IL. John worked for the Union in construction for many years. His hobbies included cheering for the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Paul Schmidt of Punta Gorda, FL, Jason Schmidt of Joliet, IL; brother, Michael Schmidt of WI; also included are his grandchildren, Alexis, Alyssa, Kyra and Andy. John was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
