Joseph L. Lammersfeld
1936-2026
Joseph Lammersfeld, 89, of Mt. Pleasant, WI passed away on May 13, 2026, at Hospice Alliance Hospice House.
Joseph was born on September 9, 1936, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Joseph Lammersfeld and Elizabeth (Hoelbl) and Ernie Bates . He was educated in the schools of Niles, IL. Joseph married Twyla (Riehle) on October 6, 1956, in Chicago. He worked for the Village of Niles for over 30 years. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, cheering for the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and the Chicago Blackhawks, but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family especially with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Deanne “Dee” (William “Bill”) Showalter of Mt. Pleasant, Rick (Jeffrey Vincent) Lammersfeld of Sturtevant; brothers, Richard Lammersfeld of Madison, Dale (Peggy) Bates of ID; sisters, Loralee (Ace) Topp of AZ, Esther Soliman of CA; grandchildren, William “Will” (Rand) Showalter and Carolyn (Dakota) Held of Arlington Heights, IL; also included are his great-grandchildren, Christopher “Chris”, Weston and Duke. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
