Joyce Plourde
1929-2018

Joyce Plourde, 88, of Kenosha passed away on Sunday June 24, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Joyce was born on December 13, 1929 in Kenosha, the daughter of the late Arthur & Emma (Schmitz) Johnson. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha. Joyce married John "Jack" Plourde on September 8, 1951 in Kenosha. Joyce was employed as a supervisor at Kenosha Leatherette for many years, and most recently as a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Her hobbies included dancing with her husband on Saturday nights at the Eagles Club, crafts, sewing, knitting, baking, staying active, taking walks, and most of all spending time with her family & friends, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her 5 daughters, Debbie (Jeff) Van Caster of Conover, WI, Patti (Ray) Betchkal of Kenosha, Bev (Jon) Naumann of Kenosha, Carol (Jeff) Rampart of Trevor, Jackie (Lennie) Boresch of Kenosha; sisters, Shirley Zernickow of Las Vegas, NV, Donna (Mike) Clancey of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Kristen (Jeff) Shenk, Joey (Karisa) Van Caster, Ben Plourde-Betchkal, Nick & Matt Naumann, Andrea (Toby) Sanders, Samantha (Austin) Koeshall, Allie Rampart, Danielle Rampart, Jacob Boresch, and Lauren Boresch; and 5 great grandchildren.  Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, John Plourde on May 16, 2018.

Funeral services were private. Entombment All Saints Cemetery.

Joyce's family would like to thank the staffs of Aurora Medical Center and Aurora at Home Hospice for all of the care that they provided. A special thanks to Molly, Joyce's RN/case manager with Aurora at Home for all of her care and guidance.
