Karen Lee Jackson

1948-2021

Karen Jackson, 73, of Winthrop Harbor, IL passed away unexpectedly on Thursday October 28, 2021.

Karen was born on October 14, 1948 in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of the late Allen & Shirley (Farrand) Rickett and was a graduate of Waukegan Township High School. Karen married Leroy Jackson on April 6, 1979 in Waukegan, IL and was employed for many years as a legal secretary. Karen was a longtime member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Kenosha, WI where she was an active member. Karen enjoyed spending time with her friends & family and loving on her children & grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Leroy Jackson of Winthrop Harbor; children, Scott Rickett, Gina (Patrick) Cross, Kathleen (Armando) Castillo; sisters, Phyllis (Glenn) Neahous, Rhonda Yukna; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Karen was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Hitchmough, brother, Keith Rickett and sisters, Kim Krueger and Kathy Vogler.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday November 5, 2021 at Fellowship Baptist Church from 2:00PM-3:00PM, with memorial services to follow at 3:00PM.
