Kathleen Marie Hassan

June 29, 1944 – February 12, 2026

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Kathleen Marie Hassan, 81, of Pleasant Prairie, who was called home on February 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Kathleen was born on June 29, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, to Edwin and Nellie (Hunter) Stanton. Brooklyn was where her story began — a story defined by devotion, strength, laughter, and unwavering love. On April 28, 1962, she married the love of her life, Ralph Hassan, in Brooklyn. Together they built a marriage that spanned more than six decades — a true testament to commitment, partnership, and enduring love.

Kathleen worked in retail for many years, where her warmth and natural gift for conversation made her a favorite among customers and colleagues alike.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures — tending carefully to her plants, playing bingo, and enjoying the excitement of casino trips. But nothing brought her more happiness than her family. Kathleen's greatest role — and the one she treasured most — was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she poured her heart into each of them. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Ralph Hassan of Pleasant Prairie; her loving children, Teresa (Keith) Eichler of West Allis, Rob (Constantina) Hassan of Round Lake Beach, IL, Donna (Robert) Alverson of Kenosha; and her son-in-law, Barry Cable of Kenosha. She is also survived by her 11 cherished grandchildren and 15 adored great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of love and family devotion.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved daughter, Debbie; her brother, Edwin; and her sisters, Elizabeth and Marie.

Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the traditions she created, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave so freely.

A memorial gathering will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with a memorial service to follow immediately at 3:00 PM.

Kathleen's life was a beautiful example of quiet strength, generous love, and deep family devotion. She will forever be remembered as the heart of her family — a woman whose love knew no limits and whose presence made every gathering feel like home.
