Rachel Slater

1950-2022

Rachel Slater, 72, of Kenosha passed away on Wednesday November 9, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Rachel was born on August 15, 1950 in Virginia, the daughter of the late Elster & Stella (Pruitt) Prater.  She was educated in the schools of Virginia.  Rachel married William Slater on April 15, 2007 in Kenosha.  She was employed for many years in customer service for the IRS.  Rachel was a member of  Holy Spirit Community Church, where she affectionately known as "the church lady."  Her hobbies included reading the bible and spending time with er family & friends.

Survivors include her husband, William Slater of Kenosha; children, Hannah (Robert) Babiak of Pell Lake, Rodney Grimaldi of Kenosha; sister, Ruthie Deel of TN; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.  Rachel was preceded in death by her parents and many siblings.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday November 22, 2022 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 1:00PM-2:00PM, with funeral services to follow at 2:00PM.  Burial Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
