Raven passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2026. She was born to Celio and Frances (Rolley) Bongiani of Chicago, IL on October 1, 1959. Raven grew up in Ohio and received her college degree from Xavier University. Raven married Glynn Ash on October 1, 2008, in Kenosha, WI. She was self-employed as a graphic designer for many years.

Raven enjoyed cooking and baking, but her passion was always music. She performed in churches, schools, and at festivals and bars in numerous cities and states. Traveling and performing with her band, THE SANDCARVERS, was a cherished activity. Most of all, Raven loved spending time enjoying family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Raven is survived by her husband Glynn Ash of Kenosha, WI; her children Nolan Gottlieb, IN, Casey Gottlieb, WI and former husband Steve Gottlieb, IN with whom she remained close; Shaun Ash, TX, Josua Ash, Kenosha, Stephanie Ash, IL; sisters Nan (Rick Babcock) Bongiani, OH and Deeda (Tom) LaPlant, OH; nephew Jacob LaPlant, OH; also, her 2 grandchildren. Raven was preceded in death by her parents and her stepson Jamie Ash.

Raven was an incredibly creative, talented, and gifted musician. Her music is a wonderful gift that remains for us all to cherish, remember, and enjoy.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the The Parkinson's Foundation or charity of your choice.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
