Renee Cison, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center of Kenosha.

Renee was born in Minneapolis, MN on March 31, 1952, and spent her early life in the metropolitan Twin Cities area.

Renee was a creative and talented artist with a flair for making all things beautiful. She opened Calico Creations and later relocated from Minnesota to Ellison Bay in beautiful northern Door County where she owned and operated an upscale women’s boutique Renee of Door County for 20 years. In Door County, Renee was part of the Liberty Grove Historical Society and the Door County Master Gardeners Club. After a brief residency in Arizona, Renee returned to the Midwest and settled in Kenosha, WI where she worked for the United States Postal Service until her retirement. In her golden years, Renee spent time gardening, shopping at Milaeger’s and dining out with friends and family. Renee loved her fur babies and will be fondly remembered by her friends as an avid gardener and cultivator of all things classy and beautiful.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Marguerite Cison. A celebration of life to be held at a later date.
