Richard "Rick" Kerst

1947-2025

Rick Kerst, 78, of Pleasant Prairie passed away on Thursday October 23, 2025, at Froedtert South surrounded by his loving family.

Rick was born on January 17, 1947, in Kenosha, the son of the late Ralph & LaVerne (Burnette) Kerst. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha & Racine, graduating from Racine Lutheran H.S., then Carthage College. He married Carol Becker on April 3, 1971, in Kenosha. Rick was employed as a finance manager at various car dealerships throughout the years. His hobbies included model trains, taking rides in his 1966 Rambler American convertible, cheering for the Packers, spent many years as a charter boat captain, but most of all spending time with his family & friends.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Kerst of Pleasant Prairie; brother & sister-in-law, Rudolf & Donna Becker; nephews, Jeff (Marisol) Becker, Richard (Jennie) Becker; niece, Debra Crespo; K9 companion, Ziggy; and many other family & friends. Rick was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth.
