Ruby Bevins, 78, of Kenosha passed on Friday January 7, 2022, at Hospice Alliance-Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
Ruby was born on November 18, 1943, in Kentucky, the daughter of the late Jess & Bessie (Taylor) Lester. She was educated in the schools of Kentucky. Ruby married Earl Bevins on April 3, 1961, in Virginia. She was employed for many years as a factory worker at a box manufacturer. Ruby was a member of Souls Harbor PCG of Kenosha. Her hobbies included baking, traveling to visit family, attending church functions, but most of all spending time with family & friends, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Bevins of Kenosha; daughters, Tammy (Gene) Cebolski, Terri Vergenz both of Kenosha; brothers, Walter (Irene) Lester of OK, Lawrence (Louise) Lester of KY, Howard (Mary) Lester of TN; 3 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Ruby was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Earl Jr., brother, Ellis, and sisters, Ellie, Holly, Evelyn, and Jose.
A visitation will be held on Thursday January 13, 2022, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 10:00-11:00AM, with funeral services to follow at 11:00AM. Entombment Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
Due to COVID, facemasks are required in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin would be appreciated.
