Sarah E. Freeborn, 47, of Kenosha passed away on July 18, 2026.

Sarah was born on January 13, 1979, in Kenosha, the daughter of Michael Freeborn and Deborah (Freeborn) Maerzke. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha graduating from Tremper High School. Sarah worked in the accounting department for Snap-on Tools for 3 years and previously worked as a personal banker. She was a member of Lakeshore Tabernacle which is now known as The Encounter Church and Living Light Christian Church. Her hobbies included writing, art, cooking, baking, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family. Sarah will always be remembered for her infectious laugh and her big heart.

Survivors include her parents, Michael Freeborn of Kenosha; mother, Deborah (Paul) Maerzke of Bristol; brothers, Luke (Heather) Freeborn of Wauwatosa, John (Lisa) Freeborn of Taunton, United Kingdom; grandmother, Phyllis Brandt of Kenosha; aunts, Susie (Don) Campbell, Linda (Frank) Bevec, Karen (Dan) Neu and Donna (Butch) Fellows; uncles, Steven (Cheryl) Brandt and David (Darla) Freeborn; also included are many cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Sarah was preceded in death by son, Jack in infancy, uncle, Mark Brandt; grandfather, John Brandt and her paternal grandparents, Andrew and Dorlene Freeborn.

A memorial gathering will be held at Living Light Church (6102 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI 53142) on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 9:00AM-11:00AM with memorial services to follow immediately at 11:00AM.
