Thomas Junkel

1948-2026

Thomas Junkel 77, of Kenosha passed away on Wednesday July 22, 2026, at Clement J Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Thomas was born on August 28, 1948, in Kenosha, the son of the late Frank and Selma (Bilan) Junkel. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha, graduating from Bradford High School. Thomas was a member of the U.S. Army, he was a 2x’s recipient of the Purple Heart, Vietnam Vet. He was employed at MacWhyte for many years, also working at ACME Die Casting in Racine throughout the years. His hobbies included a love of classic cars, attending sprint car races..both locally and out of state with his oldest grandson, fishing, and spending time with family & friends.

Survivors include his daughter, Amber Junkel of Kenosha; sister, Melinda Borland; and grandchildren, Josh & Riley. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.
