Toni Jean Kramp

September 4, 1939 – October 5, 2026

Oh, my sweet, sweet Granny. ❤️

Toni Jean Kramp, 87, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center of Mt. Pleasant.

Born on September 4, 1939, Toni was a little woman with a tough spirit, a strong work ethic, and a personality that was all her own. She worked hard throughout her life and was careful with the money she earned, saving what she could along the way. She had a raw sense of humor, a little fire in her, and a sweetness that made her our Granny.

Life has a funny way of bringing people together when we least expect it. Although Granny didn't become a part of our lives until my sister and I were already in our late 30s, the love we developed for her was every bit as real and special. It didn't matter that we didn't have all those years together growing up. Once she became our Granny, she held a place in our hearts that was hers and hers alone.

My sister Nikki and I wanted so much to make up for the time we hadn't had. We wanted to create memories with her, love on her, spoil her a little, and give her a beautiful, peaceful, happy rest of her life. We wanted her to know how much she meant to us and how special it was to finally have her in our lives.

Never in a million years did we imagine that our time together would be cut so short. Less than a week after Granny went to live with Nikki, we found ourselves facing a goodbye none of us was prepared for. We thought we were beginning a new chapter filled with memories yet to be made. Instead, we were left trying to understand how someone we loved so much could be gone so suddenly.

That is the hardest part of all. We had so much more love to give her, so many more memories we wanted to make, and so much more life we hoped she would get to enjoy. Our hearts ache knowing that the time we dreamed of having with her was taken from us far too soon.

But Granny, I hope you knew how much you were loved. You may have come into our lives later than we ever expected, but you made your way into our hearts, and there you will stay. I hope the time we had together brought you even a little of the happiness, comfort, and love that my sister and I so desperately wanted you to have.

You were our sweet, tough little Granny, with your unfiltered humor, your strength, and your own special way of being. And I will forever be grateful that I got to know you, love you, and call you mine.

Oh, my sweet, sweet Granny, we will miss you more than words could ever say. If love alone could have kept you here, you would have had a lifetime more with us. I wish we had been given more time, but I will cherish the fact that we found each other, even if it was later in life than we would have wished.

Rest peacefully, Granny. May you be wrapped in God's loving arms, free from pain and surrounded by eternal peace. Until we meet again, know that you were loved, you are missed, and you will always be a part of us.

You may not have been in our lives for as long as we wanted, but you will be in our hearts for the rest of our lives.

Rest in peace, my sweet, sweet Granny. We love you. Forever and always. ❤️🕊️u.
