William "Bill" George Nelson

1934-2025

William Nelson, 90, of Kenosha passed away on April 19, 2025, at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

William was born on July 1, 1934, in Kenosha, the son of the late Nels and Esther (Grewenow) Nelson. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha graduating from Bradford High School. William married Tanya Dezoma on November 20, 1954, in Kenosha. He was an owner/operator of Otto Nelson Moving & Storage Company for over 35 years. After retiring from Otto Nelson Moving & Storage, he worked part-time delivering flowers for Sunnyside Florist. William served in the United States Army Reserves which he was very proud of the time he served. He was a member of St. Mary's Lutheran Church. His hobbies included coin collecting, watching his favorite baseball team the  Milwaukee Brewers, but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family.

Survivors include his sisters-in-law, Diane (Larry) Williams of Kenosha, Chris (Gene) Marema of Kenosha; nieces, Robin (John) Scott of Kenosha, Mary Beth Nelson of Kenosha, Julie (Chan Brown) Nelson of Kenosha; niece, Rebecca Reed of Kenosha; nephew, Brian (Kathy) O'Neal of Kenosha; also survived by many other nieces, nephews,  great-nieces, great- nephews and many other friends and family. William was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Dolores Reed; brother, Tom Nelson and his Aunt Beatrice Sakowski.

A visitation will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on Monday April 28, 2025, from 10:30AM-11:30AM with funeral services to follow immediately at 11:30AM. Burial will be at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
