Arlen Robert Olson

1956-2024

Arlen Olson, 68, of Kenosha, WI passed away on September 3,2024, at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie Hospital, his loving family at his side.

Arlen was born on August 11, 1956, in Evanston, IL, the son of the late Robert and Arlene (Johnson) Olson. Raised in Northfield, IL, he attended New Trier High School and attended college at Northeastern Illinois University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, earning his master's degree in chemistry. Arlen was employed by AbbVie as a Protein Purification Chemist. He loved his work there.

He was a dear brother to Janet Christiansen (Steven) and Shirley Burk (the late David).

A fond uncle to Jeffrey Christiansen (Jennifer) and Eric Christiansen (Karen), Erin Burk-Frigo (Tyler) and Christopher Burk (Sarah).

His hobbies included music, jamming with his friends, windsurfing in Puerto Rico, SCUBA diving, and cooking. He delighted in being a fixer of everything. Definitely an animal lover, his latest feline, "Forest", will miss him greatly. He was witty and loved to tell jokes.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
