Barbara A. (Bruenning-Paupa) Sorn

1946-2022

Barbara Sorn, 76, of Kenosha passed away on Monday October 10, 2022 at Froedtert South-St. Catherine's surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born on April 4, 1946 in Kenosha, the daughter of the late August & Evelyn (Jones) Bruenning.  She was educated in the schools of Kenosha.  Barbara married Robert Sorn on August 7, 2022 at Fox River Park.  She was employed for many years as an office manager for Dr. Robert Salituro, DDS.  Her hobbies included crafting with her daughter-in-laws, bowling regularly, and spending time with her family & friends.  She loved taking trips and motorcycle rides with Bob.

Survivors include her children, Charles (Betty) Meehan of N.C., Chris (David) Borre of Wautoma, WI, Marty (Lynda) Meehan of Kenosha, 5 step-daughters from previous marriage with Roger; 1 step-daughter and 3 step-sons with marriage to Bob; brother, Bugs (Janet) Bruenning of Wilmot; sister, JoAnn (Andy) Hornyak of Mt. Pleasant; 7 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.  Barbara was preceded in death by her previous husband, Roger Paupa, sons, Brian and Derek Meehan, and sister, Carol Baker.

Memorials to the family would be appreciated to assist with funeral and medical expenses.

The family would like to thank the staff in the ICU department at St. Catherine's for their support during her stay there.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday October 14, 2022 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 4:00PM-6:00PM, with memorial services to follow at 6:00PM.
