Bruce M. Koenig

1954-2021

Bruce Koenig, 67, of Kenosha passed away on Friday July 2, 2021 at Froedtert-South-St. Catherine's surrounded by his loving family.

Bruce was born February 5, 1954 in Kenosha, the son of the late Leo & Cecilia (Monnier) Koenig.  He was educated in the schools of Kenosha.  Bruce was employed at MacWhyte for many years.  His hobbies included collecting antiques, especially, toys & records, writing music, art work on old house windows, NASCAR, drag racing, was a corvette enthusiast, but most of all spending time with his family & friends, especially his cats.

Survivors include his sister, Mary Kay Johnson of Kenosha; nieces, Sue (Brian) Vergenz of Pleasant Prairie, Debbie (John) Jacobson of Kenosha; nephews, Tom (Libby) Johnson of Kenosha, David ( Elizabeth) Koenig of Kenosha; great nieces, Gabriella Johnson, Amanda (Dillon) Martinez, Kayla Harman; great nephews, Alex Johnson, Xan Weller, Barrett Johnson, Christopher Jacobson; great great nephew Collin Jacobson; and many other family & friends. His brother, David and brother in law, Thomas Johnson Sr., preceded him in death.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday July 12, 2021 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 4:00PM-6:00PM, with memorial services to follow at 6:00PM.

Thank you to the St. Catherine's Froedtert South staff, especially ICU staff, Dr. Poulette, Dr. Mazulis, Dr. Curry, and Dr. Bloom.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
