Carol Jean Knapp

1943-2023

Carol Knapp, 79, of Kenosha passed away on July 23, 2023, at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie Hospital.

Carol was born on December 17, 1943, in Caddot, WI, the daughter of the late Albert and Edith (Wink) Chmelik. She was educated in the schools of Caddot. Carol married Earl Knapp on June 22, 1963, in Caddot. Her hobbies included ceramics, crafts, bowling, gardening, going to the senior center, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, David Knapp, Lenny Knapp, Jean (Bob) Wendtorf Brenda (Rick) Desotell, Raymond (Autumn) Knapp all of Kenosha and Benjamin (Tabitha) Knapp of IA; brother, Ronald (Carol) Chmelik of Thorp, Wi; sister, Rosie (Cliff) Johnson of Chippewa Falls, WI; sister-in-laws, Twila Chmelik, Betty Carlson, Joann Jackson; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; also included are many nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Jim & Tom; grandson, Aaron Knapp and her daughter-in-law, Kim Knapp .

A visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Wednesday August 2, 2023, from 9:00AM-11:00AM with funeral services to follow immediately at 11:00AM.
