Cozy Mae Montgomery, 43, passed away on June 15, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.

Cozy was born August 2, 1979 in Kenosha, the daughter of Cheryl (Oliver) and Charles Montgomery. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha, graduating from Bradford High School. Cozy was in the Mayor's Youth Employment in the Arts Program for some years, with the art pieces all around town. Cozy also enjoyed a trip to France with her French class.

Cozy was a fan of the Green Bay Packers, Tinkerbell and Shakira. Cozy enjoyed fancy shawl dancing at pow wows, playing Jeopardy with her mother, playing with her pets and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors are mother Cheryl Montgomery; maternal grandparents Rochelle (Wagner) and James Donald Oliver; aunts Jacqueline Oliver, Charlene (David) Larson; Yvette Oliver and Theresa Rosario. Also surviving are aunt Diane (Foster) Montgomery and many relatives in Cleveland.

Cozy is preceded in death by her father Charles, cousin LaKethia (Montgomery) Richardson, uncle Danny Montgomery and paternal grandparents Clara Mae (Puckett) and Wilbon Montgomery.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
