Eugene W. Decker

1939-2024

Eugene Decker, 84, of Kenosha passed away peacefully on June 16, 2024, at Hospice Alliance, surrounded by his family.

Eugene was born on November 7, 1939, in Kenosha, the son of the late Jack and Charlotte (Anderson) Decker. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha. Eugene married Judith Johnson on December 8, 1962, in Kenosha. He was employed as a security guard for AMC/Chrysler and then was a courier for Wheaten Franciscan Hospital for 18 years after retiring from Chrysler. His hobbies included fishing, cheering for the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers, enjoyed going to live music events and concerts, but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family especially his grandchildren and his dog, Lucy.

Survivors include his children, John (Patti) Decker of Iron Mountain, MI, Judy Degges of Kenosha, Sue Burke of Mount Pleasant, Jodi (Scott) Larsen of Pleasant Prairie; brother, Don (Michelle) Decker of AK; also included are his 9 grandchildren: (Jamie Burke, Eddie Burke, Michael Crane, Ciara Keller, Rachael Mathews, Taylor Decker, Charlotte Pautz, Rebecca Coughlin, Keri Larsen) and 10 great-grandchildren. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judith; brothers, Jack and Harvey; sisters, Betty and Mimi; also included is his son-in-law, Edward Burke.

A visitation will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on Wednesday June 26, 2024, from 11:00AM-1:00PM with funeral services to follow immediately at 1:00PM. Burial at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
