Janet Robbins

1948-2023

Janet Robbins, 75, formerly of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Azura Assisted Living and Memory Care in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Janet was born on January 27, 1948, in Kenosha, the daughter of the late Irving and Lorraine (Jacobsen) Sorensen. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha, graduating from St. Joseph High School.  She furthered her education, earning a B.S. in June 1969 from Texas Women's University (Denton, Texas). She married in July 1969. She again advanced her education, earning her M.S. degree in June 1990 from Nova University (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida). She worked most of her career in education, concluding in 21 years at UW-Parkside Child Care Center, many of those as director. Her hobbies included reading, painting, swimming, traveling, and baking, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Jeffrey (Sheri) Robbins of Waukesha, Stephen (Angel) Robbins of Randolph; and three grandchildren, Caleb, Grace & Ryan. She is further survived by her brothers, David (Glenda) Sorensen of Arizona and Scott (Terri) Sorensen of Kenosha; and former spouse, Paul Robbins. Janet was preceded in death by her parents.

The family would like to thank the team at Azura Assisted Living and Memory Care in Brookfield, Wisconsin, for their care and support.

A memorial gathering will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 4:00PM-4:30PM with memorial services to follow immediately at 4:30PM.
