Jerry Lee Dorris

1948-2021

Jerry Dorris, 72, passed away on March 9, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Jerry was born on June 29, 1948 in Neosho, MO, the son of the late Thomas and Alice (Thomas) Dorris.  He was educated in the schools of Missouri graduating with a bachelor's degree.  Jerry married Judith Wood on November 28, 1968 in Granby, MO.  He was a member of the United States Army and Spring Street Church of Christ. Jerry was employed as a scheduling product manager for the food service industry for many years.

His hobbies included collecting antiques, woodworking tools, going to flea markets, but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Dorris of Sturtevant; children, Becky Hanna of Kenosha, Jeremy Dorris of Sturtevant; brother, Steve and Anita Harns of Springfield, MO; sisters, Susan Harns Olson of FL, Laura and Stephen Smart of Joplin, MO; also included are his 6 grandchildren Cassidy Dorris, Bryceton Dorris, Aubrey Forrest, Isabella Shellenbarger, Meadow Dorris and Chandler Shellenbarger.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Harns and his  stepfather, Lewis Harns.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday March 12, 2021 at Spring Street Church, 6200 Spring St, Mt. Pleasant, WI 53406, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, with memorial services to follow at 7:00pm
