JoAnne "Flora" Brewer
1937–2025

JoAnne "Flora" Brewer, 88, of Kenosha, passed away on November 23, 2025, at Parkside Manor Assisted Living and Memory Care.

JoAnne was born on September 19, 1937, in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of the late Edward and Lois (Carrington) Brewer. She attended Spaulding School and Waukegan High School. For many years, she worked as a Service Manager with Jewel Food Stores. Later, JoAnne moved to Dunbar, WI, where she ran a small grocery store and volunteered actively with the local rescue squad. After leaving Wisconsin, she settled in Miamisburg, OH, where she pursued her passions through the Miamisburg Historical Society and local garden clubs.

Her hobbies included gardening, antiquing, and completing the New York Times crossword puzzle. Above all, she cherished time spent with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, LeeAnn Mitchell of Kenosha; her sisters, Myrtle "Mert" Jones of IL, Virginia (Chuck) George of OH, Helen Collins of AZ, and Alicia (Bill) Todd of IL; her brother, Chester "Chet" Brewer of IL; her grandchildren, Melissa (Keith) Sigman-LaFrance and John (Melisa) Mitchell; and her great-grandchildren, Ava, Logan, Keira, and Jae.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Craig Dreyer; her siblings, Sara, Edward "Eddie," James "Jim," Nancy, and Grace also included is her son-in-law, Paul Mitchell.

A memorial gathering will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with memorial services to follow immediately at 3:00 PM.
