Joseph L. Hawkins

1938-2025

Joseph Hawkins, 87, of Pleasant Prairie passed away on November 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Joseph was born on July 30, 1938, in Stanton, TN, the son of the late Joseph E. and Nettie (Chaney) Hawkins. He was educated in the schools of TN and Kenosha graduating from Bradford High School. Joseph married Patricia Janovicz on December 24, 1955, in MS. He worked for AMC/Chrysler for 30 years. His hobbies included horseback riding, motorcycles, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Hawkins of Pleasant Prairie; children, Vicki (Steven) Lorenz of Paris, Terry (Eva) Hawkins of Pleasant Prairie, Randy (Denelle Wolff) Hawkins of Pell Lake, WI; also included are his 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sheryl, sisters, Betty and Gwen and his beloved horse Duny.

A visitation will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on Friday December 5, 2025, from 11:00AM-1:00PM with funeral services to follow immediately at 1:00PM. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery.
