Kenneth F. Sattler

1949-2022

Kenneth F. Sattler, 73 of Kenosha, Wisconsin passed away on November 08, 2022 at the Hospice Alliance Hospice House after a brave battle with a brain tumor.

Kenny was born on June 18, 1949 to Leo & Eva (Faria) Sattler. The son of a Navy seaman, he spent his early years around the naval base in Norfolk, Virginia. After the divorce of his parents at the age of 3, he and his infant sister, Pat Louise resided at the Saint Mary's Infant Home For Children in Norfolk, Virginia for 18 months. Rather than being separated by adoption, their special Uncle and Aunt, Clarence (Kayo) and Stella Sattler of Herndon, Kansas welcomed them into their home. They moved to the original Sattler farmstead and were blessed to become a part of their family, gaining 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Kenny was educated in the Herndon, Kansas school system. As an avid lover of all sports, he participated in football, baseball, and track. As an adult he enjoyed golfing. His passion for sports remained with him his entire life and until his last few weeks, he could quote every stat for both the college and pro teams.

After graduation, Kenny moved to Kenosha and was employed 20 years with American Brass and then as a custodian at several schools and businesses until the time of his death. On October 15, 1977 he married Erma "Linda" Martinez and cherished their 31 years together until her untimely death on March 23, 2008. They loved their monthly weekends in Chicago enjoying, plays, shows, restaurants, and seeing the sights. They especially enjoyed cheering on the "Cubs". Their greatest pride and joy was raising their beloved grandson, Alex Martin.

The past 13 years Ken shared with his grandson, Alex Martin, his loving companion, Christina Gross, and her son, Brandon. Kenny lived life to the fullest. He loved everyone and had no enemies. He fully enjoyed working, loved his co-workers and his pub and sports buddies, and especially loved his "fur baby".

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda, his parents, his special uncle and aunt who raised him, sister Lois Solko, sister-in-law Carol Sattler, brothers-in-laws George Cardinal and Richard Rippe, and Christina's son Brandon.

Survivors include his grandson Alex Martin of Kenosha, companion Christina Gross of Kenosha, brothers Gerald Sattler, Tom (Myra) Sattler, and brother-in-law Jerry Solko. His sisters Pat Cardinal, Norma (Roger) Cichorz, Theresa Rippe and Pat Louise (Gary) Sloan. Cremation was chosen with burial in his boyhood home in Herndon, Kansas.

Forever missed and forever loved.

A celebration of life will be held at Kenosha Central Church of Christ (6353-29th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53143) on Tuesday November 22, 2022 from 4:00PM-6:00PM.
