Kurt H. Born

1960-2022

Kurt Born, 62, of Kenosha passed away on September 28, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center of Kenosha.

Kurt was born on July 29, 1960, in Thiensville, WI, the son of the late Thomas and Carole (DeWerd) Born. He attended school in WI and AZ. He met his life-long love Penney McCormick in Winslow, AZ. They were married on March 29, 1980, in Phoenix, AZ.  He was a maintenance Engineer for many years. Kurt was a member of the United States Army. His hobbies included fishing and cheering for the Green Bay Packers but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Penney Born of Kenosha; children, Sherrie (Richard) Kasprowicz of Oak Creek, Kimberly Born of Racine, Heather (Mo) Abutaha of Oak Creek, Megan (Joseph) Mueller of Waterford; brother, Todd (Sally) Born of AZ; also included are his grandchildren, Kayli, Aiden, Tristian, Rylee, Kiernan, Khloe, McKenna and Logan. Kurt was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Brad.

Services will be held on October 13, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery: 21731 Spring St, Union Grove, WI. A celebration of life will follow at 7 Mile Fair: 2720 W 7 Mile Rd, Caledonia, WI from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
