Lee Roy Walter Hoenisch

Lee Roy Hoenisch, 84, of Kenosha passed away on September 10, 2024, at The Manor of Kenosha.

Lee Roy was born on August 6, 1940, in Forest Park, IL, the son of the late Walter and Sophia (Schlager) Hoenisch. He was educated in the schools of IL. Lee Roy married Wanetta Bill on October 14, 1963, in Chicago. He was employed for Borg-Warner Automotive for over 35 years. Lee Roy was a member of the United States Army. He also was a member of Harrison Street Bible Church located in Oak Park, IL. His hobbies included fishing, gardening and enjoying time with his fellow veterans.

Survivors include his wife, Wanetta Hoenisch of Kenosha; children, Tammy (Joe) Kilinski of IL, Cindy Zarbock of IL, Ted Hoenisch of WI, Wendy (Kelly) Anderson of IL, Daniel Hoenisch of Kenosha, Tim (Doreen) Hoenisch of IL, Sarah Hoenisch of IL, Rachel Hoenisch of IL, James Hoenisch of IL and Deborah (Marcus) Hostetler of IL; also included are many grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Lee Roy was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert and his brothers, Richard and LeAndre.

A celebration of life will be held at the Village Church of Oak Park (911-South Taylor Ave., Oak Park, IL 60304) on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM.
