Louise H. Wamboldt

1931-2021

Louise Wamboldt, 89, of Kenosha passed away on Thursday June 24, 2021, at Froedtert-St. Catherine's surrounded by her loving family.

Louise was born on December 31, 1931, in Westby, WI, the daughter of the late Claude & Lillie (Larson) Melby.  She was raised on a farm and educated in the schools of Westby.

She was united in marriage to Carl Wamboldt on January 30, 1954, in Waukegan, IL. They were blessed with 58 years of marriage and four children.  Louise was a homemaker and also employed by Jockey, Western Publishing and retired from Kenosha Public Library.  She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church and involved in many activities there.

Talented as a seamstress and quilter, her hobbies also included ceramics, puzzling, crocheting, and playing bingo.  Traveling on family vacations and going on Casino bus trips with her husband Carl, neighbors and family was something she really enjoyed.  She also enjoyed the comfort and company her cat Abby brought to her.

Survivors include her children Phillip (Diana) Wamboldt of Kansasville, Kenneth (Bonny) Wamboldt of Kenosha; grandchildren Matthew, Andrew, Melissa (Jozefowski), Dustin and Dylan.  Great grandchildren Kaylee, Jocelynn and Nikoli Jozefowski.  Two sister-in-laws Sue Wamboldt and Shirley Wamboldt.  Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, son, David, daughter Kathryn (Bezotte) and half-sister Janice Sneath.

A visitation will be held on Thursday July 1, 2021, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 4:00PM-6:00PM, with funeral services to follow at 6:00PM.  Private Burial at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park on Friday July 2, 2021.
