Lucjan Szekalski

1944-2023

Lucjan Szekalski, 79, of Pleasant Prairie passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday November 1, 2023 at his home.

Lucjan was born on February 24, 1944 in Poland, the son of the late Leon & Wanda (Kondzior) Szekalski.  He was educated in the schools of Poland.  Lucjan married Czeslawa Bartnicka in Poland.  He was employed as a cargo ship mechanic for many years, also working as a self-employed gardener.  His hobbies included gardening, photography, watching the boats on Lake Michigan, boating, chatting with friends in Poland, but most of all spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Izabela (Jozef) Tryzno of Pleasant Prairie, Adam (Agneszka) Szekalski of Poland; brother, Ignacy (Ewa) Szekalski of Poland; and 5 grandchildren.  Lucjan was preceded in death by his wife, Czeslawa, and brother, Waldemar.
