Mariano "Mario" Ruffolo
1925-2011
Mariano "Mario" Ruffolo, 86, of Kenosha passed away Thursday, September 15, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was the son of Eugenio and Rosaria (Caruso) Ruffolo, born May 3, 1925 in Marano Principato, Italy. He was educated in the schools of Italy. He was a member of the Italian Military during WWII. He was a member of the Italian American Club. He was employed as a machinist at Arneson Foundry for many years. He was also employed at Green Ridge Cemetery as a grounds keeper and the Racine Youth Correctional Facility as a culinary assistant throughout the years. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. His hobbies included gardening, cooking, playing poker, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survived by: Wife, Anita Aiello-Ruffolo; Adopted son, Joseph R. Aiello; Daughter-in-law Kim Brown-Ocasio, Grandchildren Stefani, Lexi Lynn, Jonathan, Jaden, and Jordan Aiello all of Kenosha; Brothers Emilio Ruffolo, Kenosha; and Agostino (Carmalina) Ruffolo of Cosenza, Italy. Sisters Rita Bella (Franco) Bilotto of Orland Park, IL; Gemma Bella (Franco) Naccarato of Wheaton IL, and sister-in-law Amelia Ruffolo of Pittsburgh PA.,
Preceded in death by his parents, Adopted son John E. Aiello, Brother Fiorno Ruffolo, Father & Mother-in-law Edward A. & Waudine Aiello, and Sister-in-law Rita Ruffolo
He is further preceded in death by his first wife Gilda (Patitucci) Ruffolo on March 2, 1992, two children in infancy and further survived by their children: sons Eugenio, & Alfredo of Melbourne Australia, Maurizio, & Ottavio "Giancarlo" of Kenosha, and Mario of Georgia. Daughters Pierina, & Liliana of Melbourne Australia, Marilena of Georgia, and Rosaria Ruffolo of Kenosha. Grandson Mariano Ruffolo of Kenosha, whom he cherished. Also, 23 more grandchildren and great grandchildren, & many loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1919-54th St., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 1 p.m. Burial Green Ridge Cemetery.
The family would like to specially thank Dr. Steven Port & Dr. Theodore Hubley of St. Luke's Milwaukee, Dr. James Santarelli & Dr. William Kraklow of Kenosha, The entire staff of Season's Palliative Hospice of Milwaukee & Cherished neighbors Pete & Leanne Wildenberg.
