Marlene S. Staniec

1951-2024

Marlene Staniec, 72, of Genoa City passed away on June 29, 2024, at Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.

Marlene was born on October 21, 1951, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Martin J. and Dorothy (Nicoloff) Czernek. She was educated at Maternity B.V.M., graduating from Madonna High School. Marlene married Peter Staniec on December 23, 1983, in Glenview, IL. She was self-employed as a pension designer for many years. Her hobbies included tennis, playing poker, baking, traveling, and she was a huge fan of Bart Starr. Most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Peter Staniec of Genoa City; son, Sean Staniec of Kenosha; also included are her grandchildren, Kaia Staniec and Owen Staniec.
