Michael "Mike" DePerte Sr.

1950-2024

Michael DePerte Sr., 74, of Kenosha passed away on May 8, 2024, at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center of Milwaukee.

Mike was born on May 2, 1950, in Waukegan, IL, the son of the late Joseph and Sylvia (Unrein) DePerte. He was educated in the schools of Waukegan. Mike married Linda Barrows in 1969 and had two children. He later married Jan Mortensen and had two daughters. He then married Donna Chandler who passed away in 2020. He was employed as an auto mechanic for many years in Lake County, IL and retired to Tupelo, MS in 2006. Mike and Donna moved back to Wisconsin in 2019 with plans to spend more time with family. His hobbies included going to car shows, old cars, car racing, fishing, boating, and building outdoor furniture. He most recently enjoyed driving his 1979 Malibu around Lake County and Kenosha. He also really loved a challenging game of Dominos with his family.

Survivors include his children, Ann Marie (Dimitri) Martinez of Antioch, IL, Mike (Kristen) DePerte Jr. of Pleasant Prairie, Heather (Dave) Everett of TX, Katie DePerte of TX; stepson, Shane Johnson; brothers Pete (Karen), Tony (Carolyn), Kevin (Stephanie); sisters Jacqueline (Don) & Paula (Rick); 8 grandchildren Anthony (Emily) Canelakes, Brenda, Ninett (Jared), and Noah Martinez, Logan, Dylan, and Jenna DePerte, and Savannah Everett. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Donna.
