Oliver "Bud" R. Mays

1938-2024

Oliver R. (Bud) Mays, 86, of Pleasant Prairie, WI, passed away on October 4, 2024, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Oliver (Bud) was born on April 22, 1938, in Marinette, WI, the son of the late Oliver A. and Mary (Marlatt) Mays. He was educated in the schools of Peshtigo, WI. Graduating, Peshtigo High School in 1956. Oliver (Bud) married Judy Mehlum on May 2, 1981, in Portage, WI. They were married for 43+ years. He worked as a boilermaker doing construction and was a member of the boilermakers' union local #107 for 58 years. He retired January 1, 2000. His hobbies included playing cribbage, bowling, baseball, traveling and was a devoted fan for the Green Bay Packers, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Oliver (Bud) was a loving and caring husband, father, grand-father and great-great grandfather, to his wife, Judy Mays; children, Steven Mays, Tracy (Doug)  Mays, Todd (Kim) Mays, Jamie (Kevin) Pecha, Jody (Rick) Baldini, Jessica (Mike) Huber; also included are 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Proceeded in death by his parents; daughter, Wendy; 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Bill, Bob, Mary and Charlotte
