Raymond Routt, aged 73, of La Crescent, Minnesota, passed away on December 28, 2024, at Froedtert Milwaukee Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on September 1, 1951, in Waukegan, Illinois, Raymond was the son of the late James and Joan (Kasten) Routt. He received his education in the Waukegan school system. On May 15, 1999, Raymond married Pattie Pearce-Leathers in Zion, Illinois. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Raymond served his country during the Vietnam War. He dedicated many years to working for the City of Zion until his retirement.
Raymond enjoyed casino trips and passionately cheered for the Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his friends and family, particularly his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Pattie Routt of La Crescent, Minnesota; his children, Sara (Joe) Desarden of New Braunfels, Texas, James Routt of Phoenix, Arizona, Robert Leathers of Wisconsin, Melanie Leathers of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Christopher (Jennifer Wells) Leathers of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Patrick Leathers of La Crescent, Minnesota; his brother, Danny (Vera) Routt of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois; his sisters, Randi Esparza of Illinois, and Diane (Nick) Dudick of Illinois; his grandchildren, Megan, Jacob, Justin, Haiden, Mariah, Andrew, Rachel, Dylan, Chase, Zaiden, and Alex; and his great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Sage, Bentleigh, and Addlynn.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Jonathan; and his brother-in-law, Johnny Esparza.
A Celebration of Life for Raymond will be held on May 17th, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at:
