Shirley Ann Zupancic

1938-2022

Shirley Zupancic of Pleasant Prairie (formerly Waukegan) departed her loving family on Wednesday August 3, 2022 at the age of 84.

She was born in February 1938 in Waukegan where she resided most of her life. In 1960 she married James Zupancic and together they built their family. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, family get-togethers, shopping, and going to the casino. Shirley's greatest joy in life were her grandchildren, whom she adored. Her quick wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her son David (Kristie) Zupancic, daughter Sandra (Wilbur) Borrero; grandchildren Jacalyn, Richard, & Adriana Zupancic, and Emily & Sam Kotrba; sisters Maryann Richards & Beatrice Haines, and many other family & friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband James; son John;  parents Frank & Anna (Podobnik) Brnot; brothers Stan, Richard, & Robert; and sisters Agnes, Fran, Irene, & Josie.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Thursday August 25, 2022 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 11:00AM-1:00PM.
