Susan M. Young

1954-2022

Susan Young, 68, of Kenosha passed away on October 18, 2022, at Grande Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Susan was born on June 10, 1954, in Kenosha, the daughter of Anthony and Maryann (Funck) Burkoth. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha. Susan married Gary Young in 1974 in Kenosha. She was employed as a housekeeper at a banquet center for many years. Her hobbies included baking, sewing, crocheting, crafts, gardening, reading but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her pets.

Survivors include her mother, Maryann Burkoth of Kenosha; brothers, Mike (Jackie) Burkoth of Rome, WI, Gary Burkoth of Blanchardville, WI, Doug (Shannon) Burkoth of Kenosha; sisters, Sharon (Gary) Reau of AZ, Patricia (Randy) Ollanketo of Pleasant Prairie, Karen (Patrick) McDonough of SC; she is also survived by many other friends and family. Susan is preceded in death by her husband, Gary; father, Anthony; brother, Thomas; sister in-law, Donna; mother in-law and father in-law, Louis & Pearl.

A memorial gathering will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on Monday October 24, 2022, from 4:00PM-5:00PM with memorial services to follow immediately at 5:00PM.
